Mental Health Resource Guide for Faith Communities

INMI has compiled a notebook of resources to help people in Boulder and Broomfield Counties cope with mental health issues. The guide is designed for faith congregations to place in a spot where congregants can leaf through it and find information on particular topics.

The resource guide contains information on ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar and schizoaffective disorders, schizophrenia, suicide, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD, panic disorder and autism.

The guide also contains a listing of local services that can be helpful to your congregants when they are faced with an emerging mental health disorder or a crisis. It also includes one mother’s perspective about what information she would have found helpful when she confronted her son’s mental illness and 10 Steps to Develop a Mental Health Ministry in your Congregation.
